Our quality paint coatings for UPVC are durable and suitable for outdoor use. We coat UPVC windows and doors,  (at our Basildon unit, please note we are unable to spray on site), aswell as other plastics for retail displays. Jellyfish are approved coaters of Kolorbond paints. Kolorbond is a special coating designed to paint PVCU, (UPVC), PVC and other hard plastic such as ABS, polycarbonate, acrylic and polyester powder coatings. Unlike most paints for plastics, which try to stick to the substrate, Kolorbond forms a molecular cross bond with the plastic surface.

Kolorbond does not contain lead, cadmium, zinc, formaldehyde or isocyanates so is kinder to the environment and safer for the sprayers.

 

More information about the conditions of the guarantee:

As applicators of Acryl II paint in compliance to the Acryl II colour system process for the colour spraying of PVC-U sheeting and extrusions, hereby guarantee to the customer ("the customer") that the coating ("the coating") applied by us in respect of your order number will (subject to the provisions of this guarantee), be effective for a period of 10 years from the date of application of the coating.

1. Acryl II guarantee performance levels: Colour Fastness: Change in colour will not be worse than 3 places on the greyscale measured in accordance with DIN 54001

Adhesion: Adhesion for the colour coating to the PVC-U profile will not be worse than grade GTI when measured in accordance with DIN 53151Impact Resistance: PVC-U profiles coated with Acryl II will withstand cracking at low temperatures in a ball drop test carried out in accordance with the procedures set out in BS 7413 appendix G.

Weather Resistance: The coating will not bubble, blister, crack or visibly deteriorate when tested in accordance with DIN 50017 humidity test.

Heat Resistance: Coated PVC-U profiles will meet the requirements of BS 7413 when tested in accordance with appendix E.Heat Ageing: Coated PVC-U profiles will meet the requirements of BS 7413 when tested in accordance with appendix F.2.

Provisions and Exclusions: Where a complaint is accepted as valid, Jellyfish will, free of charge, re-coat the goods to the standard required by the Acryl II process provided that no liability shall arise where damage has occurred during transit or handling by the customer or their employees. Consequential loss including labour, traveling costs, installation cost, plant hire cost, expenses, and any other cost associated with corrective or replacement work other than specified in 2a above, are expressly excluded.

Complaints where windows and doors have been installed in climates where solar radiation exceeds 1395K wh/m2 are expressly excluded.

If touch up materials are used other than touching in corners affected during the production process, these areas are expressly excluded from the guarantee, save that, the touching in on site of corners, fabrication joints and the like is covered by this guarantee provided that only materials applied by Jellyfish are used.

This guarantee shall be valid only where the production to which the coating is applied is installed on the premises in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Erie, or any other country agreed in writing by Jellyfish prior to application of the coating.

This guarantee shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with English Law and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts only. Where by virtue of any United Kingdom Act of Parliament, statutory rights shall not be affected in any way by this guarantee.
