Frequently asked questions...

  • Is your glass toughened?

  • Our 6mm splashbacks and 19mm worktops are toughened. Our 4mm stock sheets are not toughened but have a safety backing.

  • Can you deliver?

  • We can now deliver locally within an approximate 10 mile radius. This includes Pitsea, Laindon, Wickford, Hornchurch, Billericay, Canvey Island, Chelmsford, Southend-on-Sea, and Grays. Please get in touch if you need to check if we can deliver to you. There is a small fee of £25 + VAT for local deliveries.

  • I want to match my splashback to my woodwork, can you do this?

  • Yes, if you have a physical sample or a colour reference for your paintwork we can colour match for you. Please be aware that different surface textures may make paint appear differently. For example: Where a splashback is next to woodwork, even if exactly the same paint is used on both materials, there will be a slight difference in appearance due to the light reflection on the glass.

  • Which paint brands can you match to?

  • We can colour match to RAL, BS, Pantone, Dulux, Farrow & Ball, The Little Green Paint Co and many others. We have a new range of our own metallics too which you can view at our showroom Unit 9 Winstanley Way, Pipps Hill Industrial Estate, Basildon, SS14 3BP.

  • How much does it cost to colour match to a specific item?

  • Our colour match fee depends on the type of work we are carrying out and is sometimes not charged on larger orders. Our standard colour match fee is £25 + VAT.

  • Do you have stock paint colours?

  • We can mix our paints on site which means we do not hold lots of stock colours. If you are looking for a black or a white for production purposes we offer these a stock colours at a reduced price. Please get in touch for more info.

  • What is the cheapest way to add a simple square splashback in my kitchen?

  • If you are willing to measure and fit the splashback yourself you can save on professional measuring and fitting costs. You must read our DIY Splashback Tips to ensure you measure correctly. Our black and white stock paint is the cheapest option but you can also ask for a quote for a colour of your choice. Just make sure you are able to collect from our Basildon based unit or you may have to add transport costs on top.

  • I want to look at some samples of your back painted glass, can I pop in to your factory?

  • Yes, we will be happy to help. However, we are an industrial unit and we would like it if you arrange an informal appointment to ensure that a member of staff will be available to help you.

  • Do you offer a templating and fitting service?

  • We work with a team of Glass Fitters to offer you a complete service. They are fully qualified and insured and we will advise you in advance of the Company who will be carrying out your installation. It is possible to fit your splashbacks yourself but for more complex jobs where electrical sockets need to be cut out or there are multiple pieces of glass, we believe that it is worth leaving this job to the professionals. Once toughened your glass cannot be trimmed to fit a tight space so you would have to buy a new splashback. This is the same whoever produces your splashback for you so just bear this in mind.

  • How long will it take to fit my splashback once I have placed my order and paid my 50% deposit?

  • We generally advise 3-4 weeks from the time you place your order, not including Public Holidays. Always check with us as this may vary due to workload. The splashback is the last thing that will be installed in a new kitchen so if you are waiting for other tradesmen to carry out work we will need to work around their estimated completion dates.

  • What are your payment terms?

  • OK let's talk money! When carrying out bespoke work for private customers we ask for 50% deposit at the time of ordering and the remaining 50% at the time of fitting or on collection from our premises. If you choose to pay your deposit by cheque, work will begin once the cheque has cleared. Therefore, for jobs that require a quick turn around please pay directly into our bank account or pay cash at our Basildon unit. You may also pay us via PayPal if you prefer but direct to our Bank is best for us. Contact us for more details.

  • Trade: Once we have developed a relationship with a trade customer our payment terms are 30 days from the date of invoice. This will be arranged on an individual basis and we will require a deposit  until this time. Please speak to us if you need more information about our terms.
